Collaboration and Building Rapport: Starting a Strong Foundation With Caregivers and Stakeholders in the School or Community
Presented by Eric Soltysik
When
Wed, Nov 11, 2026, 12:00 PM EST
Working in school and community settings requires providers to collaborate with caregivers, educators, service providers, and other stakeholders who play an important role in a client's care. Providers may encounter barriers and biases when entering these settings, which can affect communication, collaboration, and their ability to become an effective part of the treatment team. This presentation will explore common barriers and biases providers may experience when working in school and community environments. Participants will learn strategies for building rapport with team members, increasing involvement in client care, and establishing shared goals across providers and stakeholders. The presentation will also discuss effective ways to communicate and provide feedback when needed while maintaining respectful and collaborative relationships. Through these strategies, providers can support stronger teamwork and more consistent care across settings.
Attend live and your CEU certificate is issued after the session.
