How attendees get their certificates
OpenCEU checks attendance and sends certificates automatically. Here is what happens, and what can go wrong.
Know what happens automatically
When your event ends, OpenCEU checks everyone's attendance codes. Anyone who answered every code correctly earns a certificate right away. OpenCEU emails it to them and saves it in their Library.
Know what can block a certificate
Two things stop a certificate from generating, even when attendance was perfect.
Two common blockers
A missed code. Every attendance code must be correct. One miss means no certificate from the live event.
An incomplete profile.OpenCEU needs the attendee's full name and BACB number on file. If either is missing, the certificate cannot generate.
Check if someone got their certificate
In your side menu, under Account, click Support. Type their email and click Look Up. If a certificate exists, it shows in their timeline. See Look up an attendee for the full walkthrough.

Offer a make-up if they missed a code
If they missed a code, turn on the make-up quiz for your event. See Offer a make-up quiz. They get an email with a new link to earn credit from the recording.
Ask them to complete their profile
If their certificate is blocked by a missing name or BACB number, ask them to finish their profile in their account settings. Once it is complete, they can use the confirm form on the event page to claim their certificate.
