Host a PD event for RBTs

A PD event awards RBT professional development units instead of BCBA continuing education units. It works a little differently from a CEU event.

This may not be turned on for your account yet

PD hosting is enabled per organization. If you don’t see the RBT option when creating a new event, it isn’t enabled for your account yet. Contact support to ask about it.
1

Click New Event

From your dashboard, click New Event. If PD hosting is enabled for your organization, you will see a choice for who earns credit at this event.

2

Choose RBT

Pick RBT instead of BCBA / BCaBA. This event will award PDUs, a flat professional development total with no Ethics or Supervision categories.

This choice is locked after creation

An event awards CEUs or PDUs, never both, and you cannot switch between them once the event exists. Choose carefully before you create it.
3

Add the instructor's credential

A PD event requires the instructor to hold an active BCaBA, BCBA, or BCBA-D credential. Enter it when you create the event. This is checked before the event can publish.

4

PD events are recorded courses

Live hosting for RBT PD events isn’t available yet. Your PD event is automatically set up as a recorded course. Follow Create a recorded course for the rest of the setup: upload your video, review the quiz, and publish.

Certificates

Attendees of a PD event receive the official BACB PDU form instead of a standard CEU certificate. This generates automatically the same way a CEU certificate does, once the learner passes.
