Troubleshooting

An attendee missed an attendance code

Every attendance code must be answered correctly to earn a certificate. A missed code has a second-chance path, not a manual override.

1

Confirm every code is required

OpenCEU checks every attendance code fired during the event, and requires all of them to be correct. There is no partial credit and no way for a host to manually mark one attendee as present for a code they missed. This keeps every certificate defensible in a BACB audit.

2

Turn on the make-up quiz

After your event ends, go to your recordings review screen and turn on the make-up quiz option. This emails a link to every registered live attendee who did not pass, inviting them to watch the recording and take a quiz to still earn their certificate. See Offer a make-up quiz.

This is the standard second chance, not an exception

The make-up quiz is the normal path for anyone who missed a code, whether from a stream stall, a connection drop, or stepping away. Turning it on covers everyone who needs it at once.
3

Tell the attendee to check their email

The make-up link goes out by email to the address they registered with. If they do not see it, ask them to check spam, or confirm the email on their registration matches the one they check.

4

If the recording is not ready yet

The make-up quiz needs a published recording and quiz to work from. If your recording is still processing, wait for it to finish before turning on the make-up option. See Review the drafted quiz.
