Ethics of Using ACT in Practice as a BCBA supporting “problem” behavior of conversational humans in “real world” Settings

This BACB-CEU training provides a comprehensive analysis of the ethical considerations inherent in assessing, teaching, and responding to emotional behavior using ACT applied in context. Participants learn how each of the processes intersects with the BACB Ethics Code. The training emphasizes how ethical decision-making is strengthened when thoughts, feelings, and emotions are understood as contextual variables and that are experienced by all humans involved in the behavior change process—clients, teachers, parents, staff, colleagues, and practitioners. Participants will develop competencies needed to notice, label, and respond to their own cues while simultaneously teaching these same skills to their clients in developmentally appropriate and in culturally responsive ways.
