Streamlining BIPs & Data Collection Systems for Schools

Through utilizing a tiered-level system of response classes, student-specific observable behaviors can be grouped by their impact on the learning environment (Level 0- On-Task; Level 1- Uncooperative; Level 2- Disruptive; Level 3- Unsafe). Attendees will walk away with a thorough understanding of how to streamline: BIP development into a one-page BIP ‘cheat sheet’ that outlines the student-specific behaviors, interventions or strategies and the nuances of staff behavior (do’s and don’ts) for each specific level of behavior; Behavior data collection systems (BIP cheat sheet outline and example provided) across all students, as well as train staff on the recording, calculation and inputting of behavior data into editable g-sheets.
