Navigating Communication with Clinicians

Effective communication between RBTs and clinical supervisors is essential in the delivery of high-quality ABA services. This training provides RBTs with practical strategies for navigating communication with clinical supervisors, particularly when conversations become challenging or complex (RBT Test Content Outline 3rd Edition – F.9). Explore ethical regulations related to effective and ineffective professional communication and examine how communication can influence clinical relationships, decision-making, and the quality of services provided. Examine common ineffective communication approaches and the potential consequences they can have. Participants will be introduced to a framework for how to approach challenging conversations step by step. By breaking down realistic scenarios, participants will have the opportunity to consider different communication approaches and identify strategies that promote collaboration, professionalism, ethical practice, and client-centered care that align with their personal core values.
